Between Lublin and Acre
The Teder Group presents:
a sound art installation
A show consisting entirely of voices and sounds. It offers an intriguing encounter of differing cultures and worldviews, presented on the backdrop of Napoleon’s siege of Acre. Inspired by Martin Buber’s book, Gog and Magog, it deals with the event as influenced by the spiritual and material worlds. Key figures presented include Napoleon, Pasha Ahmad al-Jazzar, Rabbi Nachman of Braslav (who visited the city on the eve of the siege), and others.
“The fate of the East lay in that small town,” wrote Napoleon in his memoirs.
